What is People Search?

It's a feature enabling you to automatically import (scrape) the data about a particular LinkedIn profile using leads search in Sales Navigator.

Why Use People Search?

  • Targeted Contact Acquisition: Sales Navigator offers detailed search filters to pinpoint specific contacts. GetSales.io complements this by enabling the import of contacts from Sales Navigator, including those with hidden profiles. The Contacts is the main requirement for launching Automatisation.

How to Use People Search:

1. Prerequisites:

  • Ensure that at least one sender profile linked to your GetSales.io account has access to Sales Navigator, either through purchase or a free trial. Here's a troubleshooting if you have any issues.

2. Conducting a People Search:

  • Perform your search on LinkedIn using Sales Navigator, applying relevant keywords and filters.

  • Copy the URL of your search results and paste it into GetSales.io.

If individual filters related to a specific Sales Navigator account are used (for example, a saved list of accounts in Sales Navigator), then this particular account must be linked to GetSales to correctly import Contacts. However, in other cases with simple filters, the link can be generated on any profile with Sales Navigator.

3. Setting Up the Import:

  • List Selection: Choose an existing list or create a new one for your imported contacts by simply typing in the name.

  • Tagging: Optionally, add tags to all contacts in the import.

  • Move to List Option: If enabled, contacts already in your team but not in the selected list will be moved to it. If not enabled, some contacts may not be saved to the new list if they already exist in another list within your team.

  • Sender Profile Selection: Select the sender profile for the import, ensuring it has Sales Navigator enabled.

  • Repeat Option: Decide whether the import should be recurring or a one-time action. If you choose for the import to be a recurring one, the search will be conducted according to the set period (every day/every week) and the newly found Contacts will be saved to the same List.

4. Post-Import Process:

  • After importing, contacts undergo an enrichment phase where data from their LinkedIn profiles is extracted and integrated into GetSales.io. Although for some Contacts if they were already saved to GetSales by other users, their data will be filled in immediately.

  • Make sure that the search you are importing is no more than 2500 profiles. This is the limitation of LinkedIn, and GetSales wouldn't be able to scroll further. If you got a search that is bigger than 2500 try breaking it up a bit by using filters

  • If the link for the import isn't supported, check that you chose the right option on GetSales.io.
