For using Sales Navigator Import you need to have at least one Sender Profile in your Team, that has access to the Sales Navigator.

Common reasons why you might have issues with the Sales Navigator Import

  1. The system might have not recognised that you have a Sales Navigator yet. You will see an error saying "This LinkedIn Account does not have Sales Navigator feature.

  2. The URL might be not from the Sales Navigator search type that you've picked. You'll see a "URL is not supported for this type of Data Import" error

  3. You are using Saved Search or List Import, and the link isn't shared to the LinkedIn Account you are using for import to GetSales.

If it's a simple Search Import, but there're filters by List that are not shared to the LinkedIn Account you connected to GetSales, they will be reset, and the search will be imported without those filters.

Troubleshooting the most common issues with the Sales Navigator Import

1. The system might have not recognised that you have a Sales Navigator yet

There are two scenarios:

  1. You are linking your LinkedIn account with Sales Navigator access to GetSales, but the system says the Sender Profile doesn't have it:

Why?

GetSales can take up to a day to finish the initialisation process for your Sender Profile, so the status of the Sales Navigator might not be updated straight away.

What should you do?

Give it 24 hours to finish the initialisation. If you need to start the import ASAP, message our tech support team and we will speed up the process.

2. If you've connected your LinkedIn Account to GetSales.io without the Sales Navigator and after that purchased it - and the Sales Navigator Imports are still not accessible:

Why?

The access to the Sales Navigator will not be recognised without a database refresh to sync everything up, it can take a minute or a day, depending on the server load. That's an automatic process.

What should you do?

If you need the access immediately, just shoot us a quick message saying you need it, and we'll sort it out for you right away.

2. The URL might be not from the Sales Navigator search type that you've picked.

What should you do?

  1. Create a new import with updated link. Check that the type of the search you are using matches the one you chose on GetSales:

    • People Search and Accounts Search = search from scratch

    • People Saved Search and Accounts Saved Search = search that you save and then the relevant entries are being updated when new accounts are created on LinkedIn

    • People List and Accounts list = entries you saved to a list

  2. Go back on LinkedIn Sales Navigator page and create a new search.

  3. Copy the link of the search to GetSales import form - double check that the type of the import type is right.

3. You are using Saved Search or List Import, and the link isn't shared to the LinkedIn Account you are using for import to GetSales

What should you do?

  1. Use the LinkedIn Account you linked to GetSales. With it, open the import URL

  2. If you see the search results (the link is working correctly), then the problem lies somewhere else

  3. If the search doesn't open correctly, the owner of the List or Saved Search should go on LinkedIn and share the List/Saved Search with the LinkedIn Account you are using to import to GetSales

  4. Copy the URL of the search and create an import on GetSales
