What is Email Integration in Sender Profiles?

In the Email tab of the Sender Profile section on GetSales.io, you have the option to link two types of email accounts: Custom and Gmail.

Why Link Your Email to a Sender Profile?

Linking your email to a Sender Profile on GetSales.io enables you to utilize multiple channels for outreach. This integration is key to building a more comprehensive and effective campaign, allowing for a broader reach and more diverse communication strategies.

How to link Custom Email:

  • SMTP Support: GetSales.io supports any email provider that uses SMTP. If your provider is Gmail, refer to a different tab with instruction specifically for Gmail.

  • Email Sending Process: Emails are sent directly from your mailbox, resembling manual emails without using additional gateways. The request for SMTP connection comes from dedicated IP for your profile.

Important

Outlook SMTP Support: Currently, Outlook has discontinued SMTP support, and thus cannot be attached to GetSales.io. We recommend using Gmail for Outreach.

Troubleshooting Custom Email Issues:

  1. Error Messages: Pay attention to error messages returned from your email provider, as they can help identify the issue.

  2. Common Problems:

    • Invalid Credentials: Double-check your credentials. If they are correct but still show as invalid, try changing them, as the error is relayed from your email server.

    • Incorrect SMTP Ports: Many providers still suggest port 465 for SMTP, which is outdated. Try port 587 or 25 if 465 doesn't work.

    • IMAP Port Issues: If port 993 for IMAP doesn't work, try port 143 or 995.

    • IMAP Disabled: Ensure IMAP is enabled by your email provider. Contact your email admin or support if necessary.

    • Single Account connection: if you think your Email might be connected to another team on GetSales and that's why it's not connecting, drop a message to our support.

  3. Further Assistance: If you've followed all steps and still need help, create a support ticket with your email credentials for troubleshooting. You can change your credentials after the issue is resolved.

Troubleshooting Gmail-Specific Issues:

  • Common Gmail Issues:

    • App Password Creation: If you can't create an app password, ask your admin to enable or disable the setting as needed. And don't forget to enable 2FA, without it you won't be able to enable the app password.

    • Gmail isn't perfect and can lag a bit, try creating a new app password if you can't connect.

    • Incorrect Passwords: Ensure the correct password is used.

    • App Password Not Working:

      • Sometimes newly created app passwords don't work immediately and may need to be recreated.

      • You might've changed the password to your Email account and the app password got reset.

      • The app password might have gotten deleted.

    • Incorrect Information Entry: Verify that the correct information is entered in the fields.

    • GetSales IP might be banned by your Email provider: in this case, drop a message to our support and we will change the IP for your inbox specifically.

    • Support Ticket: If issues persist, contact support with your credentials for assistance.
