What is 'Cancel Automation for One Contact'?

  • This feature allows you to cancel tasks for a specific contact within GetSales.io. This option appears:

  • after the Contact's reply, allowing you to get the Contact on manual handling

  • when the Contact has paused tasks

  • when the Contact has tasks in progress.

You can cancel Automation for the Contact from the Contact's profile in the CRM.

Why Cancel Automation for a Single Contact?

It's hard to set up an Automation that would account for every scenario, so many of the clients prefer to cancel the Automation when they come to a point of lesser predictability and take over manually.

How to Cancel Automation for One Contact:

  1. Accessing the Contact Profile:

    • Navigate to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system in GetSales.io.

    • Select the contact profile for which you want to stop the automation.

  2. Stopping the Automation:

    • Look for a small card on the left side of the contact profile displaying the current task.

    • Click on 'Cancel Automation'. This action will cancel all automatic tasks for that contact, while manual tasks will remain unaffected.

Alternative Method for Multiple Contacts:

  • If you need to cancel automation for several contacts at once, use the Mass Actions panel in the CRM:

    • Select the contacts you wish to cancel automation for.

    • In the Mass Actions panel above the contact list, choose 'Automation' from the dropdown menu, then select 'Remove from Automation'

    • Choose the Automation to remove the Contact from

    • This action will remove the selected Contacts from the chosen Automation - all of the tasks for those Contacts associated with the chosen Automation will receive the 'cancelled' status.

    • You can also remove the Contacts from all the Automations
