What are Advanced Filters?

Advanced filters on GetSales.io offer a sophisticated option for filtering contacts. They allow you to create complex rules and groups of rules, including negative, inclusive, and multiple-choice options for fields, enhancing flexibility in contact filtering. You can find them in the CRM, Automation (when enrolling Contacts or setting up Condition rules) and in he Messenger.

Why Use Advanced Filters?

  • Complex Filtering Needs: Ideal for intricate filtering requirements, advanced filters enable you to swiftly find the right contacts.

  • Optimizing Basic Filters: They are also useful for ensuring that your basic filters are yielding the best possible results, essentially serving as a troubleshooting tool.

How to Set Up Advanced Filters:

Structure of Advanced Filters:

  • Upper Level: Apply a negative condition to all subsequent filters, add a rule, or a group of rules. If there's only one group, you'll see an option for exclusion. With multiple groups, you have options for exclusion, inclusion, or choosing between groups.

  • Group Level: Set up multiple rules within a group, adhering to the conditions set at the upper level. Groups can contain other groups, and their order can be changed using drag and drop. With a single rule, you have options for negation or exclusion; multiple rules offer exclusion, inclusion, or choice.

  • Rule Level: Create individual rules by selecting a field, then choosing the rule type (e.g., ==, !=, contains, not contains, is empty, is not empty), and entering the value you're searching for. The order of rules can be rearranged freely.

Interchangeability with Basic Filters:

Advanced filters are linked with basic filters. If you set up basic filters first, opening advanced filters will show the same values. Changes made in advanced filters will reflect in basic filters and vice versa, ensuring consistency in your filtering approach.

The Advanced filters are constantly improving, so if you have any suggestions, we'd love to hear them!

Mind that some filters are linked which is not obvious, we recommend checking that you got the right number of Contacts (you can use Automation Analytics for the target number, depending on the case).

Soon we will publish a How-to article on advanced filtering, so stay tuned!
