What is a Delete Mass Action?
The 'Delete' option is a feature in the Mass Actions Panel within the CRM's Contacts tab. It allows you to remove contacts that are no longer relevant to your database.
Why Use 'Mass Action Delete'?
Enhancing Conversion: To maximise your conversion rates, it's important to focus on relevant prospects. Deleting unnecessary Contacts from your database streamlines your outreach efforts, ensuring you target only the most relevant prospects.
How Does Deletion Work?
Locating 'Delete': You'll find the 'Delete' option in the Mass Actions menu in the CRM, under the Contacts tab.
Selecting Contacts:
Use filters to quickly find the contacts you wish to delete.
Tick the checkbox next to each contact you want to remove. To select all contacts displayed, tick the checkbox in the upper left corner of the contacts table.
If there are more than 30 contacts, a clickable text saying 'select all' will appear. Click on it to select all contacts.
Executing Deletion:
After selecting the contacts, click on 'Delete' in the Mass Actions panel.
A modal window will appear, giving you the option to delete only the selected contacts or their coworkers as well.
Select the relevant option and click on 'Delete'.
Processing Time: The deletion process is queued. The time taken depends on the number of Contacts you're deleting. Usually it takes a few seconds but if there're a lot of Contacts involved, it can take up several minutes.
You can track the progress of all of the queued tasks from the mass action panel (Action Queue) accessible from the top right corner of the majority of pages.
What to Know Before Deleting a Contact in GetSales
Effects of Deleting a Contact:
Stopping Automation and Tasks: If you delete a Contact, any Automation or tasks linked to them will stop (if they are not being executed at the moment).
No Take-Backs: Once a Contact is deleted, you can't bring them back.
Completing Tasks: If there were tasks in the middle of execution for a deleted Contact, these tasks will still finish.
Should You Delete or Just Move the Contact?
Reasons to Delete: If a contact is no longer useful or relevant, deleting might be the best option.
Consider Moving Instead:
If a contact isn't interested right now or shouldn't be contacted, you might want to move them to a different list. This helps avoid re-importing them by mistake and keeps a record of all past interactions, even with deleted Sender Profiles.
Re-importing a Deleted Contact:
If you delete a contact and then add them back to GetSales, remember that their history with any deleted Sender Profiles won't be visible.
Alternative to Deleting Contacts through Mass Actions
While there are no complete alternatives to the Mass Actions for deletion, you can delete each Contact separately from their Profile in the CRM.
