We are in the process of creating a dedicated page for Tag management. At present, you cannot delete Tags from the system, but you can remove them from a Contact's profile.

What is a Tag?

  • A Tag is a feature located in the Mass Actions Panel within the CRM's Contacts tab. You can assign multiple Tags to each Contact.

Why Use Tags?

  • Efficient Segmentation: Tags enable you to segment your Contacts easily, which is crucial for later personalisation or prioritisation.

  • Automation Integration: Our Automation engine can automatically enrol Contacts based on their Tags, simplifying the addition of new Contacts to Automations while maintaining them in separate Lists.

How to Use Tag Mass Action:

Creating and Applying Tags:

Currently, Tags can only be created when you are tagging your Contacts, as there is no separate Tag management panel.

To tag Contacts:

  1. Navigate to the Contacts tab in the CRM.

  2. Select the Contacts you wish to tag.

  3. Tick the checkbox next to each Contact. To select all displayed Contacts, tick the checkbox in the upper left corner of the Contacts table.

  4. If there are more than 30 Contacts, click the 'select all' text that appears.

  5. In the Mass Actions panel, click on the 'Tag' option. You have two choices: remove a Tag from the selected Contacts or add a Tag to their profiles. Note: Removing a Tag from Contacts does not delete the Tag from the system, only from the Contact's profile.

  6. A modal window will appear, allowing you to add or remove a Tag from only the selected Contacts or from all of their coworkers' profiles as well.

  7. To add a Tag, either select an existing one or create a new Tag by typing its name. If it's not already in your Team, you'll have the option to create it.

Processing Time for Tagging:

The tagging process is queued and the duration depends on the number of Contacts being tagged. It typically takes a few seconds, but for larger numbers of Contacts, it can take several minutes.

You can track the progress of all of the queued tasks from the mass action panel (Action Queue) accessible from the top right corner of the majority of pages.

Alternatives to Tagging through Mass Actions

While there are no complete alternatives to the Mass Actions for tagging, you can:

  • Add Tags through Automation by creating a specific node for it. Each Contact going through that node will be tagged:

  • Manually tag Contacts from their profiles in the CRM:
