Managing Your Leads with GetSales CRM

How to use the GetSales CRM to manage leads, create follow-up tasks, track pipeline stages, and filter contacts.

The GetSales CRM keeps your entire lead management workflow in one place — from the moment a lead enters an automation to the point you book a demo or close a deal. Instead of switching between platforms, you can follow up, organize, and track leads without leaving GetSales.

Pipeline Stages

Every lead in the CRM has a pipeline stage that reflects where they are in your outreach process. Stages update automatically based on lead behavior, and you can also move leads between stages manually.

Common pipeline stages:

  • New — lead just entered the system

  • Contacted — connection request or first message sent

  • Replied — lead responded (positive, negative, or neutral)

  • Replied Positive — lead showed interest

  • Opportunity — lead moved to a sales conversation

  • Closed — deal complete or lead disqualified

How to change a stage: Open the lead's card in the CRM and select a new stage from the dropdown. Stage changes are logged for tracking.

Manual Follow-Up Tasks

When a lead replies or reaches a point where personal follow-up is needed, you can create a manual task directly in the CRM.

How to create a task:

  1. Open the lead's card in the CRM or Messenger.

  2. Click the "Create Task" button.

  3. Set the task description, due date, and assign it to a team member or sender profile.

Tasks appear in the Tasks Planner, where you can filter by due date, assignee, or status. When you complete a task and mark it as done, the lead can continue through its automation if applicable.

Filtering and Finding Leads

The CRM includes powerful filters to help you find exactly the leads you need:

  • By automation — see all leads in a specific campaign

  • By pipeline stage — find all leads who replied positively, or all new leads

  • By activity — filter by specific actions (e.g., "LinkedIn Connection Request Sent")

  • By enrichment — find leads with or without email addresses

  • By sender profile — see which leads are assigned to which sender

Filters can be combined for precise searches. For a full guide on all available filter types, see Filters in GetSales CRM.

Tags for Lead Organization

Tags let you label leads with custom categories that fit your workflow. You can apply tags manually or through automation nodes.

Common tag uses:

  • Marking leads by ICP segment (e.g., "Enterprise", "SMB")

  • Flagging leads for specific follow-up campaigns

  • Labeling event attendees or webinar registrants

Tags are searchable and filterable, making them a flexible tool for organizing large lead databases.

Why Use the Built-In CRM?

Managing leads directly in GetSales eliminates the need to export and re-import data into external tools. You get:

  • Full message history (LinkedIn + Email) visible on each lead card

  • Real-time automation status for every lead

  • One-click task creation for personal follow-ups

  • Consistent data without sync delays between platforms
