If leads are stuck in "In Progress" for longer than expected, one of the following causes usually applies.
Reply Detection Paused the Automation
By default, GetSales pauses automated messages when a lead replies to a LinkedIn message or email. This gives you a chance to follow up personally before the automation continues.
How it works:
When a lead replies, all scheduled messages for that lead are paused across all sender profiles.
The lead stays "In Progress" until you manually unpause or cancel them.
If you prefer automation to continue regardless of replies, enable "Send always, even if contact replied" on the Send Message / Send Email node.
How to find paused leads:
Click "In Progress" on the segment node to open the CRM.
Apply the filter Pipeline Stage = Replied.
Review leads and either unpause them to continue the automation or cancel them if follow-up is complete.
Task Is Scheduled for Later
If your automation is running normally but specific leads haven't progressed, the task may simply be queued for a later time.
How to check:
Click the counter on the node where the lead is waiting.
You'll see the scheduled date and time for that task.
If the automation has many leads, some tasks are spread across the schedule to maintain safe activity levels.
Free LinkedIn Account Connection Limit
Free LinkedIn accounts are limited to roughly 10 personalized connection requests per month (requests that include a message).
How to fix:
Remove the message from your connection request node, or
Enable the "Send without a message" toggle on the Send Connection node.
This lets the automation send connection requests without hitting the personalized message cap.
