What is a Smart Login link?

A Smart Login link is a special secure link to a cloud browser session that you can share with anyone whose LinkedIn account needs to be connected to GetSales.

It’s a simple and safe way to let your client or teammate authorize their own LinkedIn account — they don’t need to register in GetSales or join your team. All they need to do is open the link, log in to LinkedIn, and the system will finish the connection automatically.

How to create a Smart Login link

When connecting a new LinkedIn account

  1. Create a new Sender Profile for the client or teammate whose LinkedIn account you want to connect.

  2. Complete Step 1: Set Proxy.

  3. In Step 2: Authorize LinkedIn Profile, click Create a Smart Login link.

The Smart Login link option appears next to “Open Cloud Browser” on the LinkedIn connection step
  4. A modal window will appear with instructions and a Create Smart Login link button — click it.

  5. The link will be generated. You can now copy it.

The modal displays step-by-step instructions and the generated link, which you can copy
  6. Copy the link and send it to the person whose LinkedIn account you’re connecting.

  7. When they open the link, a cloud browser will load with the LinkedIn login page. They simply need to sign in to LinkedIn and click I have logged in.

The recipient signs in to their LinkedIn account and clicks “I have logged in” at the top
  8. As soon as they click I have logged in, GetSales will verify the LinkedIn session and finish the connection automatically.

Reconnecting a LinkedIn account after a “LinkedIn logged out” error

  1. Open the Sender Profile showing the “LinkedIn logged out” error.

  2. Hover over the three dots next to Open in Cloud Browser and choose Create Smart Login link from the dropdown.

  3. A modal window will open with the same Create Smart Login link button. The remaining steps are identical to creating a new Smart Login link.

What you should know about Smart Login links

  • Secure: The LinkedIn owner signs in themselves — no credentials are shared.

  • Valid for 7 days: After 7 days, the link expires automatically.

  • Single use: Once the LinkedIn session is verified and connected to GetSales, the link stops working.

  • One at a time: Creating a new Smart Login link automatically deactivates any previous link.

Troubleshooting

Smart Login link opens but no cloud browser appears

If you see a black screen or the cloud browser doesn’t load, wait a bit — sometimes it takes longer to initialize.

If it still doesn’t load after 5 minutes:

  1. Refresh the page in your local browser.

  2. Create a new Smart Login link and try again.

  3. Disable any ad blockers (like AdBlock) — they can block the remote browser window.

  4. If the issue persists, please contact support in the chat.

Clipboard error

If you see the message “Copying to the clipboard is blocked. Update your browser settings”, clipboard access is disabled in your browser.

To fix this:

  1. Click the site settings icon in your browser’s address bar.

  2. Find Clipboard in the permissions list.

  3. Set it to Allow.

  4. Refresh the page and try again.

“Access denied” or “This Smart Login link has expired”

If you see “This Smart Login link has expired. Please request a new one.” or “Access denied”, the link is no longer valid. This can happen if:

  • 7 days have passed since the link was created, or

  • a new Smart Login link has been generated for the same Sender Profile.

Error message: Smart Login link expired

Simply create a new Smart Login link and send it again.

Note: If the “Access denied” error continues after generating a new link, please contact support and mention the issue.
