❌ Outlook and Office365 Are Not Supported

Important: GetSales does not support Outlook or Office365 inboxes.

  • Microsoft has deprecated traditional SMTP access, which GetSales relies on.

  • If you try to connect these inboxes, you’ll receive a connection error.

What to do instead:

  • Use Gmail (with App Passwords enabled)

  • Use a custom SMTP provider (e.g. IONOS, Zoho, Namecheap)

  • Use LinkedIn as your primary channel in GetSales

πŸ”’ Gmail OAuth & Done-for-You Inboxes Not Supported

GetSales does not support OAuth-based Gmail connections, which means:

  • You cannot connect inboxes from Zapmail or Instantly's DFY (done-for-you) Gmail accounts

  • These inboxes typically block 2-step verification and App Passwords, which GetSales requires

Recommended: Use a Gmail account where you can enable:

  • 2-Step Verification

  • App Passwords

πŸ” Common Connection Errors & Fixes

1. ⚠️ Outdated SMTP Port

98% of connection issues come from using the wrong SMTP port.

  • βœ… Use port 587 (STARTTLS) instead of 465 or 25

2. ❌ Wrong Credentials

  • Double-check your email address and password

  • For custom SMTP: verify SMTP host, port, and encryption method

3. πŸ” Google App Password Doesn't Work

  • Sometimes your App Password may fail on first try β€” generate a new one

  • If you changed your Google account password, you must create a new App Password

4. 🧱 Proxy Downtime or GetSales Maintenance

  • If you see a long error log or "Contact support" message, it might be temporary

  • Try again in 1 hour or the next day

  • If it persists, contact support

5. β›” Google Limit Reached

  • This usually means your Google Workspace admin set a sending or connection limit

  • Try reconnecting the inbox the next day

πŸ”„ Inbox Already Connected But Failing?

If your inbox is already connected but experiencing issues:

  1. Go to the sender profile β†’ Email β†’ click Manage

  2. Click Edit β†’ Update β†’ Save

If that doesn’t help, the issue is most likely temporary proxy downtime, which GetSales usually resolves automatically within 24 hours.

Note: If the problem persists after 24h, contact support.
