Now that you've connected your sender profiles and added leads, it’s time to build your first automation in GetSales. Automations are the heart of GetSales, offering flexibility and power to run your campaigns efficiently. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to set it up:

  1. Creating Automations for Segments

You have two main options when building automations:

    • You can create separate automations for each segment. This means each segment follows its unique path, and leads in one segment won't interact with the other.

    • Alternatively, you can build one automation for all segments, allowing all leads to follow the same path.

  2. Checking Lead Connections

Before sending a message, it’s essential to check if you're already connected with a lead. You can do this by creating a "Connection Request Accepted" node to verify their connection status. If they’re not connected, it’s the right moment to send a connection request.

  3. A/B Testing and Follow-ups

When sending connection requests, you can add a message or leave it empty. You can also set up A/B tests to compare conversion rates between sending with or without a message. After sending the connection request, set a delay for checking if the connection request is accepted (e.g., 3 days). If connected, the lead progresses further in the automation.

  4. Adding Social Activity for Engagement

To boost connection acceptance, you can integrate social activities like visiting profiles, endorsing skills, or liking posts. This helps create more engagement and increases the chances of a successful connection.

  5. Managing Non-Connections and Emails

If, after a set period (usually 2-3 weeks), the connection request isn’t accepted, you can choose to withdraw the request or move the lead to another channel, like email. You can also set up rules to check if the lead has a work email and send follow-up emails accordingly.

  6. Follow-ups, Tags, and Sender Profiles

Once connected, you can start sending personalized messages with variables (e.g., using the lead's first name). You can add delays, perform social actions, and send multiple follow-ups. At any point, if the lead replies, the automation pauses to avoid redundant messages.

For advanced strategies, you can tag leads, change sender profiles, or even reassign them to another automation for a different approach.

  7. Managing Leads and Tasks

You’ll have full control over your automation’s tasks—whether they are manual or automatic. Track scheduled and completed tasks, view lead statuses, and monitor automation performance in real-time. You can also use versions to revert or adjust previous changes if needed.

  8. Flexibility and Performance Insights

Leads can be part of multiple automations simultaneously, and you’ll have access to detailed analytics on lead status, conversion rates, and task completion. This ensures that your campaigns run smoothly, and you can adjust them anytime without stopping the flow.

Final Tip:

Don’t hesitate to experiment! Automations allow for great flexibility, and GetSales provides all the tools to optimize your outreach.
